PixelPlan

What does a website cost?

Prices & costs

Most agencies answer that with “it depends”. Here you get the numbers first — and then what it actually depends on.

At PixelPlan a website costs €1,250 in the Standard package — up to 5 pages, delivered in 2 to 4 weeks. The Pro package costs €2,100 and covers up to 10 pages plus a blog in 4 to 6 weeks. Larger projects and online shops are quoted individually. These are fixed prices: you know before we start what will be on the final invoice.

What moves the price inside that range — the number of pages, whether content already exists, shop versus website, how deep the design work goes, integrations, and replacing an existing site — is set out below, point by point.

What sets the price

Six things that move the range.

A price range is only honest if you say what causes it. This is the written-out version of “it depends” — so you can place yourself in the range before you ever speak to us.

01 — 06

  1. The biggest lever

    Number of pages and scope

Every single page has to be planned, designed, built and tested.

A homepage, three service pages and a contact page go up quickly. Ten service pages with their own structure, their own copy and their own images do not. That is exactly why the page count is the line between our packages: up to 5 pages in Standard, up to 10 plus a blog in Pro.

  2. Decides the timeline

    Existing content and images

If copy, logo and photos exist, we build straight away — if not, the content comes first.

Writing and picking images take time regardless of the design. It is the most common reason a project lands at the upper end of the 2 to 6 weeks. Gathering what you already have before the first call saves the most.

  3. A category of its own

    Website or online shop

A website informs, a shop sells — which makes it a project of its own.

Product data, variants, shipping rules, payment integration, tax logic and a checkout that also works on a phone bring technology of their own with them. That is why we deliberately quote no flat price for shops, but cost them against your product range and your processes — on WooCommerce or Shopify.

  4. Solid build or brand project

How deep the design work goes

A custom layout sits inside the fixed price; a whole design system does not.

What we build is based on your brand, never an off-the-shelf template. It gets more involved once motion, illustration or several parallel design directions come into it. Both can be right: one is a professional presence, the other is a brand project.

  5. Every integration counts

    Integrations and functionality

Form, map and cookie consent are standard — every further integration is not.

Appointment booking, a newsletter tool, inventory systems, a customer area or a second language mean setup, testing and maintenance later. Raise those points in the first call — then they are in the quote rather than in an extra invoice.

  6. The work is rarely in the design

Relaunch instead of a blank page

Replacing an existing website is more work than starting from a blank page.

Content has to be carried over, old addresses redirected cleanly, existing visibility preserved, email and domain moved — without anything going dark in between. Here the effort almost never sits in the design; it sits in the migration.

If several of these describe your project, Pro is usually the right frame. Shops and special cases are quoted individually — and we tell you in the first call, not in the final invoice.

What the fixed price does not cover.

A fixed price is only fixed if both sides know where it ends. These four items sit outside it deliberately — and two of them keep running after the website goes live.

  • By agreementCopywriting and photographyIf they exist, we build with them. If we are to create them, it is in the quote up front.
  • ExternalHosting and domainHeld in your name with your provider and billed there. The provider sets those prices — in the first call we tell you what your project needs from one.
  • Only if neededPlugin or image licencesOnly where a project genuinely needs them. We say so beforehand; nothing runs unasked.
  • SeparateOngoing care and maintenanceScope and cost are agreed per project and put in writing before anything starts. There is deliberately no flat rate — a five-page website and a shop do not create the same workload.

Why the cheapest website rarely stays the cheapest.

The comparison nobody makes

This is not an argument against site builders. It is an argument for adding up the whole bill before you compare it.

Someone with a laptop on their lap, building a website in their own time

Item 01

Your time

The builder is not the problem — the time is.

A site builder costs little money and a lot of time. If you build the site yourself, you pay for it with your evenings. That can be entirely right, as long as time is cheaper for you than money right now. It just deserves to be counted as a bill, not filed as a saving.

Item 02

The second attempt

What goes unnoticed early is what hurts later.

A structure with no plan, copy that tries to say everything at once, images at the wrong size: on day one it all still looks fine. The expensive part is not the mistake — it is the moment you start over because of it.

Item 03

The move

Moving costs more than building.

A site that lives on a closed platform can rarely just be taken with you. Content, addresses and the visibility you have built then have to be carried over by hand — which is precisely the work listed above under “relaunch instead of a blank page”.

Item 04

The decisions

What a fixed price actually buys.

Not just design. Someone who decides what belongs on the site and what does not — and who is reachable when something stops working. That is the difference that is hard to see beforehand and obvious afterwards.

Total

None of this argues against a site builder. It argues for adding up both bills in full — and with us the total stands before the project, not after it.

At PixelPlan, €1,250 for the Standard package with up to 5 pages, delivered in 2 to 4 weeks, and €2,100 for Pro with up to 10 pages plus a blog in 4 to 6 weeks. Both are fixed prices. Online shops and larger projects are quoted individually — you get a reliable estimate in the free first consultation.

Because the workload genuinely varies and a number without a frame around it is easy to attack. We solve that differently: fixed packages with a clear ceiling on pages, and an individual quote beyond that. You get a number you can compare, without us promising something that depends on the project.

We deliberately quote no flat price for shops. Catalogue size, variants, shipping and tax rules and the payment integration differ far too much. We look at how you actually work and cost it from there — on WooCommerce or Shopify.

No. The package price is a fixed price for the agreed scope. What runs separately is in the table on this page: hosting and domain through your provider, licences only where needed, ongoing care by agreement. If the scope grows during the project, we discuss it beforehand — not in the final invoice.

That depends on what is being maintained. A small company website and a shop with a large catalogue do not create the same workload, which is why we deliberately quote no flat rate here. We work out what you need in the free first consultation and put scope and price in writing before anything starts.

Standard takes 2 to 4 weeks, Pro 4 to 6 weeks, counted from the kick-off. The biggest variable is not us but content and approvals: when copy, images and feedback come back quickly, a project lands at the lower end of the range.
